About the Queen of Skinnyville

Over the course of six pregnancies (4 babies, 2 miscarriages) I gained and lost a total of 200 pounds.  I've been able to lose the weight after each pregnancy through healthy, simple living, a nutrient-dense diet and moderate exercise.

I want to share what I've learned in that journey so that I can help other women become the Queen of Skinnyville, too.  This blog is designed to help you to lose weight, develop strategies that will simplify your weight loss, learn how to eat healthier, cook with whole foods, establish exercise habits, and live a happier more balanced life.

I follow and teach six basic principles:
1.  Eat like a peasant (simple foods)
2.  Dine with grace (respect yourself)
3. Curtsy, bow, wave (move!)
4. Fortify your castle (plan ahead)
5. Banish the wenches (no negative self talk)
6. Put your trust in the King (look to God)
